Props I am going to use
Props are a key concept to the mise-en-scene of my trailer. As my main character Grace has just moved into her new house, I shall have to have boxes filled with different objects lying around the house to make it look like she hasn't fully up-packed yet. Along with boxes, I shall be using a books called Bird Song in the scene where Grace shuts the curtains. I chose to use this book as it shows that Grace is very interested in history, although it is not a fantasy book, thew story is not true.
I will also be using a phone at the beginning of the trailer as Grace is talking to someone about how she has almost finished unpacking the boxes. this is her one way that she can communicate with her outside world.
Lamps and torches will be used when there is a power cut to Grace's house, this will add artificial light and make Grace seem more dependent on the light for her safety.
The bath shall be used when she hears a loud noise with no explanation for, this will help imply that she is in a vulnerable position.

Costumes, Hair and Make-up
For the costumes that I intend to use, my aim is to keep them simple yet slightly sophisticated and not too casual. To start off with, my main character is going to wear jeans and a t-shirt as she is moving into her new house. I chose this due the fact that she has been moving boxes about all day and would probably like to be in something comfortable. Another reason is to show that she many not be fully moved in yet and that some of her clothes are still in boxes and are not yet unpacked she can also be wearing slippers to make it seem like she has made herself at home. I want Grace's make-up to be as natural as possible. This will include a little bit of light foundation, a touch of mascara and a slight hint of eyeliner if needed to define her eyes. I want a natural look as I think that this will emphasis Grace's personality in that she does not really care what people think of her, she is a strong person who does things for her self. Alongside her make-up, Grace's hair shall be left natural also, as my actress is a natural blonde this plays along to the stereotypical blonde in horror films.
For my supernatural being, I am going to have my actress wearing a black dress which looks old and worn. This is to show that this being has been there for a long time, I chose the colour black to use so that when I film some shots that it the being can blend in and fit into the shadows/darkness and only her face can be seen. On her feet I shall leave them bear and maybe add dirt to them to make then look worn and repulsing.
For make-up, I shall make the face look very pale (ghost like) and darken in and around her eyes. This is to make them look sunken and hardly seen. It is known that when you can not see a persons eyes you become more afraid. I shall also add black smudges to the body and skin that is showing this will make it again look aged. When considering the hair, I think that I shall slightly backcomb the hair to make it look messy and that it has been traveling about places.

Voice over or text?
When deciding what I shall use to deliver information to my audience along with the acting on my trailer, I weighed up the positives and negatives of both voice overs and text on screen. This is what I came up with.
